Accountable Business Solutions, LLC was founded by Robert Shaw, CPA in 2003.
Mr. Shaw began his accounting career while still attending Rider University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce. During his college years, he apprenticed with Louis H. Linowitz, CPA in Trenton. Concurrently, in his role as President of the Student Government Association, he served on a number of college committees preparing and reviewing budget reports. Upon graduating he left the small, local accounting firm and joined Arthur Andersen and Company. Shortly after joining this international firm, Mr. Shaw earned his Certification in Public Accounting. During his tenure with Arthur Andersen, Mr. Shaw was exposed to a variety of clients from a broad range of industries. His responsibilities included conducting physical inventories, as well as preparing, auditing, and reviewing financial statements. Having gained valuable experience at both small and large accounting firms, Mr. Shaw decided to explore opportunities in private industry.
During the ensuing thirty-five years, Mr. Shaw continued to hone his business acumen in increasingly responsible positions starting as an Assistant Controller and progressing to Chief Operating Officer. His services as a financial management and operations consultant have been sought and used by major corporations and small start-up companies alike. In the interim, he held such varied titles as Vice President of Management Information Systems, Vice President of Information Technology, Vice President of Production and Senior Vice President of Information Technology, reflecting Mr. Shaw's interest and accomplishments in many facets of business. He considers his success at pioneering the use of the internet to attract and conduct business, the establishment of in-house information technology systems and the growth and development of new revenue sources as the highlights of his career. He has demonstrated his ability to utilize the latest technology to solve difficult management, marketing, sales and operations problems. He has streamlined and cut costs while increasing quality of customer satisfaction in the process.
